You Don't Need to Read Every Comment. Just the Ones That Actually Need You.
Once you're getting real engagement, comments and DMs turn into a firehose. Here's why most of it doesn't need a personal reply, and how AI triage can flag only the ones that do.
The part nobody warns you about when engagement picks up
Getting comments and DMs is the goal. Reading through all of them, every day, to find the one angry customer or genuine sales question buried in a pile of generic praise, spam, and "nice post!" is the part that quietly eats your time once it actually starts working.
A full comment and DM inbox helps you see everything in one place. It doesn't help you tell, at a glance, which one of those forty comments is the customer complaint that needs a reply in the next hour and which ninety percent can be skimmed or skipped entirely.
Why this gets worse, not better, as things go well
The instinct is to check everything, because the one message that matters could be anywhere in the list. That's manageable at ten comments a day. It stops being manageable at fifty or a hundred, and by then the real risk isn't missing engagement, it's missing the one angry customer or genuine lead sitting in the middle of a pile of noise, because scanning everything by hand doesn't scale with volume the way the volume itself does.
What triage actually does
LazyRelay's Mentions and DMs tabs have an optional "Show only the ones that need attention" filter. Each comment and DM gets classified (angry customer, sales question, general question, or nothing flagged) so you can see, at a glance, which handful out of the full list is actually worth your time to open. It's off by default, the full unfiltered list is always still there, and nothing gets hidden permanently: it's a filter on top of the real inbox, not a replacement for it.
Once you've found the one that matters, you can reply to it directly from the Mentions and DMs tabs — no need to leave LazyRelay and open the platform's own app. For DMs, you can also set up a keyword-triggered automation that sends an automatic private reply the moment a matching comment comes in, without you doing anything by hand.
See only what actually needs a reply.

Does LazyRelay flag which comments and DMs need a real reply?
Yes. An optional filter on the Mentions and DMs tabs classifies each item (angry customer, sales question, general question, or unflagged) so you can see what's worth opening without reading the full list top to bottom.
Does this replace the full comment and DM inbox?
No. It's an optional filter on top of the existing inbox. The full unfiltered list is always still there; the filter is off by default.
Which platforms does this cover?
The same platforms the Mentions and DMs inboxes already cover: Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Bluesky, and YouTube for comments, and Facebook and Instagram for DMs.
Can I reply to comments and DMs directly from LazyRelay?
Yes. You can reply to a comment or DM right from the Mentions and DMs tabs, without opening the platform's own app. You can also set up a keyword-triggered automation that sends an automatic private reply as soon as a matching comment comes in.
