LazyRelay vs Planable
Planable is a content approval and collaboration scheduler. Here's an honest look at where it and LazyRelay actually differ.
Where Planable is genuinely ahead
Approval is the center of Planable's product. Its site describes step-by-step approvals, comments and annotations on posts, a kanban approvals tab, and, on its Enterprise plan, multi-level stacked approvals. It also supports X (Twitter) and Google Business Profile, which LazyRelay doesn't yet (X is coming soon). If a detailed review process with several approval stages is the main thing you buy a scheduler for, Planable is built for it.

Planable's prices and features checked directly on planable.io/pricing and planable.io, checked 2026-09-30. Rows can go stale as either product changes. If you spot one that's out of date, that's worth telling us.
The gap that actually matters: "sent" isn't "published"
Planable's strength is getting a post approved. After approval, a scheduler marks a post as published once the platform accepts the request, and that isn't the same as the post being visible. LazyRelay separately re-checks the platform after every post to confirm it's genuinely live. That's Proof-of-Publish, included on every LazyRelay plan including Free. We didn't find an equivalent check on Planable's pricing or features pages.
The other real difference: how approval works
Both tools let a client review a post without buying a seat. LazyRelay's client review links (Starter and above, 4 active links on Starter) let a client with no account approve a post, comment on it, or ask for changes. Planable goes further on structure, with several approval types by plan and stacked multi-level approvals on Enterprise. The price shapes differ too: Planable charges per workspace and limits social pages and monthly posts on Basic and Pro, while LazyRelay charges one flat price per tier with unlimited one-time scheduled posts on paid plans.
Pick Planable if
- Approval is your main need and you want a formal, multi-step review process, including stacked multi-level approvals on Enterprise.
- You need X (Twitter) or Google Business Profile posting today.
- You want comments and annotations directly on each post as your team's main workflow.
Pick LazyRelay if
- You want independent proof a post actually went live, not just "accepted."
- You post to Telegram, Discord, Mastodon, Bluesky, Tumblr, WordPress, dev.to, Hashnode or Lemmy.
- Simple client sign-off (approve, comment, ask for changes) is enough, and you'd rather pay one flat price than per workspace.
- You want a real free plan with no post-count trial cap, and MCP access for AI agents.

Can clients approve posts in LazyRelay without an account?
Yes. LazyRelay's client review links let a client with no account approve a post, comment on it, or ask for changes. They are available on Starter and above, with 4 active links on Starter. Planable also lets occasional approvers view and comment without an account, and it offers more approval structure, including multi-level approvals on its Enterprise plan.
Is LazyRelay cheaper than Planable?
At small scale they are close. Planable Basic is $33 per workspace per month for 4 social pages and 60 posts per month, and Pro is $49 per workspace per month for 10 social pages and 150 posts per month. LazyRelay Starter is $29.99 per month flat for 20 connected accounts and 2 brands, with unlimited one-time scheduled posts. The counting differs (workspaces versus brands), so compare against how you actually organize your accounts.
Does Planable verify that a post actually went live, like LazyRelay's Proof-of-Publish?
Not that we found documented on planable.io. LazyRelay's Proof-of-Publish independently re-checks each platform after publishing to confirm the post is genuinely live, on every plan including Free.
